Henry T. Ross Council 1939 History
Council 1939 of the Knights of Columbus was chartered in Brunswick Georgia in 1919 and named in honor of Henry T. Ross the first Catholic servicemen from Brunswick to lose his life in WWI. It has grown to a 150 member strong council with members in the three local Catholic Churches, namely St. Francis Xavier, in Brunswick, St Williams on St. Simons Island and the Church of the Nativity in Darien Georgia. Council 1939 is a Catholic-based Fraternal Organization engaged in Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism.
